Ingredients
- lightly aged rum
- pisco
- gin
- dry curaçao
- amontillado sherry
- lemon juice
- orgeat
The Fog Cutter is a vintage tiki cocktail by Victor "Trader Vic" Bergeron. The OG recipe is a potent mix of rum, gin, brandy, lemon and orange juice, orgeat, and sherry. It very much gives Long Island Iced Tea energy.
This variation swaps in pisco for the brandy, adds in dry curaçao, and drops the orange juice for a less sweet and slightly more complex take on the drink.
The Recipe
- 1.5 oz lightly aged rum
- 0.75 oz pisco
- 0.5 oz gin
- 0.5 oz dry curaçao
- 1 oz amontillado sherry
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 0.75 orgeat
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake until well-blended and chilled. Strain into a tiki mug or Collins glass with crushed ice. Garnish with orange well and mint sprig.
